Wine description

Temps de Flors is a coupage of three varieties—Muscat, Gewürztraminer and Xarel·lo—grown at our Sumarroca (near Sant Sadurní d’Anoia) and Sabartés (next to Llorenç del Penedès) estates.

 

Tasting notes

In the bouquet there are suggestions of ripe summer fruit, peaches, pears, lychees and grapes, as well as some more floral notes: jasmine, orange blossom, roses and azaleas. The palate is full-bodied and creamy, with its in-mouth aroma leading to a fine finish. Balanced, rounded flavour. A harmonious combination of sensations.

盛放好的果汁将会放入发酵罐,在无菌恒温14°C的环境下进行发酵。发酵完成后再已到新的罐中,混合五种酒类,过滤,稳定然后瓶装。

Wine description

Modernising of a tradition since the beginnings of Sumarroca. Traditional coupage from Penedès updated 25 years ago by Sumarroca, with a small proportion of small grain Muscat, all from our own vineyards.

 

Tasting notes

Fresh, elegant aroma with notes of summer fruits such as Starking apples and pears combined with a touch of white orange blossom. Fresh and fruity in the mouth with a very pleasant finish.

Our wine Montonega has been produced from the indigenous variety Montonega from Penedes, Parellada phenotype. This is a variety of very low production and for that reason it has been scarcely planted in the area. The properties of its small grapes endow a specific structure, which coupled with the elevation of the vineyard and its soil, boosts flavour and aromatic expression of the wine and provides a nice level of acidity allowing to maintain the quality of young wines for several years. Its personality and differentiation, together with its exclusivity due to the shortage of these vines, even in their place of origin, Penedes, allow us to ensure that our high quality wine is "unique of its kind," and is of very limited production.

Macabeo 2013 BY MAS  RODÓ

 

Located in the estate around the cellar. Old Macabeo vines with a low production. On sloping soils between the hills of Mediona. Select soils of a complex structure, calcareous and rocky. 500 m altitude, south oriented with a wide thermal rise. Manual harvest in boxes at an optimal moment of ripeness. Settling overnight in refrigerated room. Strict quality control in cellar and at the vineyards. Destemming, soft crushing and mild pressing produce an excellent must. Static clearing in stainless steel tanks, and fermentation in French oak barrels. Regular battonage stirring its lees during a brief two month aging. A wine full of nuances results from a very limited production bottled in January. Recommended serving temperature 12 º C. Straw colour with golden hints.
